The direction behind BroadKeep grew from firsthand experience running a trucking company and seeing just how much responsibility sits behind every truck on the road.
BroadKeep ERP is an industry-specific ERP in development for small and growing motor carriers.
Our beginning
Before Virago Technologies and BroadKeep ERP, there was Virago Transport. Running that trucking company brought together the practical work of managing drivers, equipment, documents, operating obligations, and the daily decisions needed to keep the business moving.
It revealed a familiar problem: important facts were scattered across software, folders, messages, and manual follow-up. Knowing the condition of the company often meant assembling the picture yourself.
Virago Transport eventually ceased operations, but the experience remained. It helped shape the idea for software designed around the trucking company as a complete business, not just the movement of freight.
Our approach
BroadKeep is being designed around the decisions and responsibilities carriers manage every day.
Managing a motor carrier means staying on top of regulatory requirements, driver qualifications, equipment condition, and the records that support them. Dispatch depends on that foundation, but it is only one part of running the business.
A fact recorded in one area should remain useful when it affects another area's readiness, availability, decisions, or follow-up.
Approaching deadlines and developing issues should become visible while there is still time to act, not only after something goes wrong.
